Donating & Helping

There are numerous ways to help the Sunshine Kids:

Donation:

The children are grateful for any form of kindness. Please do not believe that a small donation cannot be effective. In India, 10€ are much more worth than in other countries of the world...

If your donation sum is 25€ or higher, you will receive a contribution receipt at the end of the calendar year, provided you have stated your address on the remittance slip.

Thankfully, the HelpAlliance has set up a no-charge donations account. From here onwards, your donation will be directly forwarded to the project.

When making a transfer, it is important that you quote the term "Sunshine Project" in the reference field of the bank transfer form. Only then, your payment can be allocated.

The account details are:

HelpAlliance e.V.
Reference "Sunshine Project"
Frankfurter Sparkasse
Account number 200 076 981, bank code 500 502 01

The following codes are to be used only for money transferals from countries OTHER than Germany:

IBAN DE44 5005 0201 0200 0769 81
BIC HELADEF 1822

Sustaining Membership:

It is possible to become a sustaining member and to support the project with a fixed monthly contribution. If you set up a standing order, please remember to quote the Sunshine Project in the reference field of the bank transfer form. Only then, your payment can be allocated!

If you have a sustaining membership, you will of course also receive a contribution receipt of the total sum at the end of each calendar year. Please make sure that your address is stated on the bank remittance slip.

Child Sponsorship:

A child sponsorship costs 15 € per month, which supports fixed costs like school fees, after-school-care fees, salaries for educators, food etc.

You can obtain more information on this programme in the section "child sponsoring program".

At present, there are no more child sponsorships available. If you are nonetheless interested in this programme, please turn to juliahillebrecht@yahoo.de and you will be placed on the waiting list.

In-Kind Donation:

In-kind contributions are always welcome.

The children are between 2 and 18 years old, so clothes in all sizes are required. Also gladly accepted are baby goods for the younger siblings.

Toys, stationary, sweets – the children love EVERYTHING!!!

The postal address of the children is as follows:

Sunshine Project
63, Kehar Singh Estate
Saidulajab
(near PVR Cinema, Saket)
110030 New Delhi
India

If you are visiting Delhi, please contact Julia Hillebrecht under juliahillebrecht@yahoo.de and she will arrange for the in-kind donations to be fetched from where you are staying. Or perhaps you have a little spare time and would like to hand over the goods personally? The kids love visitors.

PR for the Project:

Since we are a very small organisation, we naturally depend on individual PR work.

For instance, recommending this homepage to others, telling your friends or colleagues about the project or distributing our appeal for funds on to your mailing list is of considerable help to us!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have so wonderfully drummed up support for us in the past.

Own Fundraising Campaign:

If you should have the opportunity to start a fundraising campaign at your kid’s school, at your office, on your birthday or at similar venues and events, this would of course be fantastic and most generous!

For such events, we have designed a flyer for distribution purposes in the sizes DIN A4 and DIN A5. You can "order" them under juliahillebrecht@yahoo.de.

If you should require further information on the project for your personal fundraising campaign, please write to juliahillebrecht@yahoo.de , stating your telephone number so that you can be contacted as soon as possible. We gladly advise and support people who are committed to our project.

Here are a few examples of how individual fundraising campaigns generated funds for the project:

  • A few donators forewent their birthday presents in favour of collecting money for the children
  • A bazaar was organised at a Primary School, specially for the Sunshine Kids
  • Instead of distributing Christmas presents to their clients, a company donated the money to the project. The clients received a copy of the contribution receipt with the phrase: This year we would like to give 110 street children a smile, together with you...
  • The money collected at a wedding collection was for the benefit of the children
  • A yoga studio in Frankfurt passed the proceeds of a workshop onto us
